Service Oklahoma names three approved courses: the MSF Basic RiderCourse, Basic RiderCourse 2 – License Waive, and 3 Wheel Basic RiderCourse, and states plainly that it 'only accepts MSF as a qualifying motorcycle course.' Oklahoma runs no state training program of its own; the course is delivered by independently operated, MSF-certified motorcycle schools and dealers, and Service Oklahoma directs riders to the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's own site to find a class and to a Department of Public Safety course locator. No tuition figure or course-length figure is published by a primary Oklahoma source, so both are left unpublished here. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol separately runs a free 8-hour 'Safe Riders' skills clinic taught by OHP motorcycle troopers and funded by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, but that course requires an existing M endorsement to attend and is a continuing-education offering, not the course that leads to the endorsement.

The Motorcycle Safety Foundation's Basic RiderCourse is designed for beginning riders aged 16 and up, pairing about five hours of classroom or online learning with about ten hours of on-motorcycle training, and it ends in a written knowledge test and a rider skills test.
